Twenty-seven (27) individuals are quarantined beginning today joining 231 other Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs in the different isolation facilities.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 4 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Of the 27 new PUMs: 5 are OFWs from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Africa, Bangladesh and Gribraltar; 11 Locally Stranded Individuals from Siquijor, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, and Mandaue City; 7 glassworkers from Mandaluyong City; 1 jail officer; 1 with history of fever and 1 newly acquitted Persons Deprived of Liberty.
Meanwhile, of the current 258 PUMs: 123 are in designated hotel facilities, 51 are in the community isolation center, while 84 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
