City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that fifty-two (52) new Persons Under Monitoring started their quarantine today.
Twenty-nine (29) of the new PUMs are Locally Stranded Individuals from Quezon City, Talisay City, Pasig City, Manila, Makati City, Cebu City and Bacolod City.
The remaining 23 PUMs include: 8 OFWs from Iraq, Thailand, UAE, Saudi, and China; 4 Returning Overseas Filipino from USA; 9 Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR) Cebu City; 1 soldier from Jolo Sulu and 1 newly discharged patient from a local hospital, who is COVID unlikely.
Meanwhile, fifty-nine (59) PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities.
Of the 223 PUMS: 110 are quarantined in designated hotel facilities, 49 are in the community isolation center and 62 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
