City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms that twenty-four (24) city residents tested NEGATIVE in the latest batch of RT-PCR swab results from the Department of Health Regional Office 7 released last night
Specifically, those who tested negative in the latest RT-PCR swab results are the following:
12 CLOSE CONTACTS of an OFW who left Dumaguete City on August 27, 2020 and was supposed to leave for Spain on September 1, 2020 but tested positive in Manila where he was tested last August 29, 2020
2 CLOSE CONTACTS, friends of a COVID Positive case, from Inapoy Community Hospital
3 CO-PASSENGERS of a sweeper flight with COVID Positive cases from Sibulan
7 LOCALLY STRANDED INDIVIDUALS: 1 from Bacolod City with reactive RDT and his 2 close contacts; 1 medical student from Cebu City with reactive RDT and his 2 close contacts and 1 police officer from Sibonga, Cebu with reactive RDT
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo stressed that even if they have been cleared of COVID-19, the 24 residents will not be released from quarantine unless they complete the required 14-day isolation period.
There is no active COVID-19 case in the city as of September 9, 2020.
