The number of Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) increased to 230 after 14 new PUMs begin their quarantine today.
On the other hand, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla reports to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that nine (9) PUMs were released from isolation after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
The 14 new PUMs are: 10 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-lapu City and Dan Fernando Cebu; 3 OFWs from Panama, Africa and California USA and 1 newly discharged patient from a local hospital.
Of the 230 PUMs: 98 are in designated hotel facilities, 52 are in the community isolation center, while 90 are in the barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health Workers have shown symptoms of ILI.
