City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that eight (8) new Persons Under Monitoring started their quarantine today.
Four (4) of the new PUMs are fishermen from a coastal barangay who reportedly went to Oslob, Cebu and 4 Locally Stranded Individuals from Manila, Mandaue City and Isabela Negros Occidental.
Meanwhile, eleven (11) PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities.
Of the 238 PUMS: 95 are quarantined in designated hotel facilities, 42 are in the community isolation center and 101 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
