ALL KNOWN CONTACTS OF A COVID POSITIVE HEALTH WORKER OF INAPOY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL ARE QUARANTINED, SWABBED
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that all eighteen (18) known close contacts of a COVID Positive Case, a health worker assigned at Inapoy Community Primary Hospital in Mabinay town, have been identified, quarantined and swabbed today.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that although the government health worker is a resident of Sibulan, she visited some relatives in Dumaguete City prior to the release of the RT-PCR result that confirmed she is COVID-19 positive.
Aside from the 18 close contacts of the COVID Positive hospital worker, eleven (11) other Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu, Siquijor, Nueva Vizcaya, Dapitan, Lapu-Lapu City and Manila begin their quarantine today Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs.
On the other hand, four (4) PUMs were released after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities.
Of the 248 PUMS: 98 are quarantined in designated hotel facilities, 53 are in the community isolation center and 97 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
