Thirty-one (31) Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs were released after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla also reported to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that twenty-two (22) additional PUMs started their quarantine today.
The 22 new PUMs who were quarantined beginning today include: 3 OFWS from Hongkong, Russia and UAE; 1 person who was released from the City Jail; 1 person who was referred and refused admission in a local hospital; 1 private employee and 16 Locally Stranded Individuals from Mandaue City, Cebu City, Liloan, Cagayan De Oro, Quezon, Kabankalan, Bacolod City, Manila and Laguna.
There are now 258 PUMs: 108 are in designated hotel facilities, 44 are in the community isolation center and 106 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health Workers have shown symptoms of ILI.
