The number of Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) increased to 267 after 52 new PUMs begin their quarantine today.
On the other hand, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla reports to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, said that fourteen (14) PUMs were released after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
The 52 new PUMs are: 12 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu, Mandaue City, and Dipolog City; 10 OFWs from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Denmark, China, Istanbul, Taiwan and Egypt and 29 employees of a private company. They are all in strict quarantine and are asymptomatic.
Of the 267 PUMs: 116 are in designated hotel facilities, 45 are in the community isolation center, while 106 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health Workers have shown symptoms of ILI.
