229 PUMS SHOW NO SYMPTOMS OF INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (ILI)
The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reports today that none of the 229 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that not a single PUM was released from quarantine today.
In contrast, six (6) OFWs who returned home from Dubai, Japan, Sweden and the USA begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated hotel facilities.
At present, 134 of the 229 PUMs are men while the remaining 95 are women. Thirteen (13) of the PUMs are minors, 12 are senior citizens while 204 are between the ages 18-59 years-old.
Finally, of the 229 PUMS: 106 are in designated hotel facilities; 42 are in the community isolation center and 81 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
