The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reports today that none of the 196 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s IATF, that six (6) PUMs were released today as they remained asymptomatic until they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
Meanwhile, of the 196 PUMS: 92 are in designated hotel facilities, 43 are in the community isolation center, 61 are in barangay isolation facilities.
Fourteen (14) PUMs begin quarantine today to include a newly discharged patient from a local hospital; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino from Dubai; 3 Locally Stranded Individuals from Siquijor and Cebu and 9 OFWs from China, South Korea, Australia, Ethiopia, Dubai, Singapore and Saudi Arbia.
Since the City’s IATF quarantined all returning residents beginning February 2020, about 1, 945 (200 of them are OFWs and 599 LSIs) have been released and rejoined their respective families after completing the mandatory quarantine without showing any symptoms of ILI.
