32 NEW PUMS QUARANTINED STARTING TODAY
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that thirty-two (32) new Persons Under Monitoring started today bringing the total number of PUMs to 188.
Twenty-two (22) of the new PUMs are Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu City, Badian, Mandaue, Lapu-lapu City, Davao City, Talisay, Leyte and Surigao del Norte.
The other PUMs who started their quarantine today include: 1 individual who was swabbed today and 9 OFWs Brazil, Egypt, Gibraltar, USA, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Australia.
Of the 188 PUMS: 87 are quarantined in designated hotel facilities, 38 are in the community isolation center and 63 in the barangay isolation facilities.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
Finally, twelve (12) PUMs were released after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities.
