The City’s three (3) active COVID cases remain in strict isolation and have not presented any symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
City Health Officer Ma. Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that all three individuals will be subject to repeat RT-PCR tests on Tuesday.
If they test negative, they will be officially declared as having recovered from coronavirus.
Meanwhile, fourteen (14) new Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) begin their quarantine today to include 2 OFWs from Australia and Saudi Arabia; 3 who were exposed to a confirmed COVID Case in Barangay Cadawinonan; 4 telecom employees from Siquijor; 1 employee from Ormoc and 4 Locally Stranded Individuals Samboan Cebu and 1 government employee from Cebu City.
Four (4) PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without any medical incident.
Of the 153 PUMs: 67 are in designated hotel facilities, 26 are in the community isolation center, while 63 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation centers.
However, one of the 153 PUMs examined showed signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
The ILI case is a 16-year-old female showing with fever and cough but without history of travel. She has already tested negative of COVID-19 in RT PCR but remains under strict quarantine.
