Nine (9) Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs were released after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla also reports to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that six (6) additional PUMs begin their quarantine today.
There are now 147 PUMs: 59 are in designated hotel facilities, 23 are in the community isolation center, 1 student from Zamboanga Del Norte, 1 teacher from Siquijor, while 63 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation centers.
The 6 new PUMs who began their quarantine today include 3 OFWS from Brazil, San Francisco California and Japan; 2 who have shown symptoms of Influenza Like Illness but their conditions improved after taking prescribed medicine and 1 Locally Stranded Individual from Mandaue City.
