Fifteen (15) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released today after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine period in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, approved their release upon the recommendation of City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Sarah B. Talla so they could return back to their respective families.
Meanwhile, 11 new PUMs were quarantined today that include: an 18-year-old person (who has coughs and colds for the past 7 days); 2 medical doctors from Siquijor; 5 Locally Stranded Individuals from Ozamis City and Manila; 1 OFW with 2 grandchildren from Dubai.
There are 179 PUMs: 93 are in designated hotel facilities; 27 in the community isolation center, 9 are students mostly medical interns and 50 are under home quarantine or in barangay isolation centers.
