Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo speaks before major stakeholders of the local ICT Industry to share his plans to support IT investments and BPO companies in Dumaguete City in view of the city’s continued inclusion in the Next Wave Cities classification, as announced on June 30, 2020.
To celebrate this feat and in line with the 11th Anniversary of ICT Association of Dumaguete and Negros Oriental, the organization hosted a Webinar last week.
In his talk, Mayor Remollo shared his vision, ongoing projects and initiatives to promote the ICT Industry as a vital and sustainable source of thousands of jobs (many in BPO/call center companies) and opportunities in a presentation aptly labeled (POST COVID ERA: Creation of 5G ready business, sports, convention and retirement hub in the 175 hectare beachfront).
Titled “Next Wave City: The Dumaguete Experience” the webinar was designed to showcase the city’s journey in the ICT space, sharing of learning as well as provide the audience with an idea of how Dumaguete plans to thrive in COVID-19 times.
