Both Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Acting City Fire Marshal Sr. Insp. Heidi Lynn R. Virtudes will work closely so that more fire sub-stations will be established in strategic locations as the city grows both in population and number of business establishments.
Mayor Remollo and Sr. Insp. Virtudes also agreed that the newly purchased brand new ambulance by the City Government for the Fire Station can also be utilized by City Health Office upon request.
Earlier Sr. Insp. Virtudes expressed gratitude to the City Government for the purchase of the ambulance, which would boost the capability of the unit to respond to any emergency.
As a member of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection also took part in the decontamination and disinfection of the hospitals and other public places to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
