ALL 143 PUMS SHOW NO SYMPTOMS OF INFLUENZA LIKE ILLNESS (ILI)
The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reports today that none of the 143 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s IATF, that only one (1) PUM was released today, who remained asymptomatic until he completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
Meanwhile, of the 143 PUMS: 82 are in designated hotel facilities, 20 are in the community isolation center, 40 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation facilities and one was a returning student from Japan.
Five PUMs begin quarantine today to include a newly discharged hospital patient, one medical intern from Dapitan City and 3 OFWs from Saudi Arabia, Japan and Brazil.
Since the City’s IATF quarantined all returning residents last February 2020, about 1, 579 (110 of them are OFWs) have been released and rejoined their respective families after completing the mandatory quarantine without showing any symptoms of ILI.
