32 NEW PUMS (INCLUDING 18 MEDICAL INTERNS) QUARANTINED STARTING TODAY
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that thirty-two (32) new Persons Under Monitoring arrived today bringing the total number of PUMs to 129.
Eighteen (18) of the new PUMs are medical interns from Cebu City, Cagayan De Oro City, Talisay Cebu, Dipolog City, Zamboanga City and Ozamis City.
Meanwhile, the other newly quarantined PUMs are: 3 Persons Deprived of Liberty, who were acquitted of charges; 1 jail guard; 6 OFWs from China, Hongkong, Bahrain, Dubai, Japan and Taiwan; 1 newly discharged patient from hospital and 3 Locally Stranded Individuals from Davao Oriental, Marikina City and Cebu City.
Of the 129 PUMS: 65 are in designated hotel facilities, 22 are in the community isolation center, 9 are students who returned from Japan and 33, who are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation facilities.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
Finally, eight (8) PUMs were released after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities.
