From a high of 317 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs), City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla reports to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that there are now just 105 PUMs left.
Of the remaining 105 PUMs: 44 are in designated hotel facilities, 23 are in the community isolation center, 9 are students from Japan while 29 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation facilities.
Meanwhile, seventeen (17) PUMs begin quarantine today: 10 Locally Stranded Individuals from Lapu-Lapu City, Manila and Siquijor; 2 post graduate interns from Cebu City; 2 junior interns from Siquijor and 1 from Zamboanga Sibugay and 2 who were recently discharged from hospital who must be placed on mandatory quarantine as part standard procedure.
Meanwhile, twenty-one (21) Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs were released today as approved by Mayor Remollo after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
None of the 105 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers have shown symptoms of ILI.
