ONLY THREE PUMS ARRIVED TODAY; THEY ARE ON STRICT QUARANTINE

The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reports today that only three additional PUMs were accepted to enter the city with complete documents. They include a medical representative from Mandaue City, 1 PGI doctor from Cebu City and 1 OFW from Singapore.

City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that none of the 121 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).

Meanwhile, eleven (11) PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities. They have been cleared to go back to their respective families.

Of the 121 PUMS: 51 are in designated hotel facilities, 8 Filipino students who returned from Japan; 23 are in the community isolation center while 39 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation facilities.
