Local officials recently inaugurated the P4 million two-storey multi-purpose building, which will serve as the barangay hall of Calindagan in a simple ceremony with 2nd District Congressman Manuel “Chiquiting” Sagarbarria, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Punong Barangay Ma. Isabel Sagarbarria and other elected barangay officials.

Father Pepe Vincoy offered mass and presided the blessing rites of the building that offers ample space for the different administrative offices of the barangay.

Mayor Remollo, Cong. Sagarbarria and PB Sagarbarria also discussed the implementation of the shoreline protection project as a means to preserve the structural integrity of the various government facilities (covered court, barangay hall, fish landing and terminal, etc.) and even the homes of the coastal residents from huge waves or worse, storm surges, during inclement weather.

The said shoreline protection project, which is ongoing along the Rizal Boulevard, will expand and include the coastal barangays of Poblacion 1 (Tinago), Calindagan and Mangnao down south.
