24 NEW PUMs ADMITTED TODAY BRINGS TOTAL TO 216

Twenty-four (24) individuals, majority of them OFWs, are quarantined beginning today joining the 192 other Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs at the different isolation facilities of the city.

City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 14 individuals completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus released and cleared to even return to work.

The 24 new PUMs are: 14 OFWs; 1 Locally Stranded Individual from Bohol; 1 newly discharged from the hospital and 8 students from Japan who are in strict isolation and examined by Health workers.

Of the 216 PUMs: 109 are in designated hotel facilities, 70 are in the community isolation center while 37 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation centers.

None of the 216 PUMs examined showed signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
