The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, chaired by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, conducted the regular information and education drive this time in Barangay Looc, Saturday, to help the residents protect themselves from possible outbreak of dengue and COVID-19 contamination.

City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla led a composite team in going house-to-house to converse with the residents, provide masks and multi-vitamins and perform medical check-ups for the young, the vulnerable and the elderly.

The team emphasized to residents the need to use face masks, frequent hand washing and cleanliness in their homes and surroundings as the best means to prevent dengue and COVID-19.

This community outreach is part of the year-long IEC drive and shall be conducted in other barangays on weekends to heighten awareness among residents as the city government enhances the fight against both dengue and coronavirus.
