City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that there are 262 PUMs, but only one of them showed symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or (ILI) and is now being closely monitored by City Health Workers.
At present, of the 262 PUMs:11 OFWs, 216 LSIs and 35 other returning residents. One hundred eleven (111) of them are in designated hotel facilities, 93 are in the community isolation center while 57 are in the barangay isolation facilities or under home quarantine.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that seven (7) PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
But, 2 off-duty jail guards and 4 Locally Stranded Individuals from Siquijor and Mandaue City were subjected to quarantine as Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) upon their arrival also today.
