Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo stresses anew the need for concerned agencies to properly and diligently coordinate to ensure the safe and orderly return of Overseas Filipino Workers and Locally Stranded Individuals.

With diligent and proper coordination, both the receiving LGU and the newly arrived OFWs or LSIs will be duly informed of the date, time and expected number of returnees so that appropriate transportation and personnel will be deployed. Furthermore, the quarantine facilities or designated hotels will also be given advance notice to prepare their accommodations.

Mayor Remollo said that he is willing to accept all returning residents of the city (OFWs or LSIs) to assuage the feelings of their anxious families provided they follow the protocols and submit the required documents pursuant to the directive of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

OFWs are required to present negative results of the COVID-19 RT PCR test and Quarantine certificates.

Meanwhile, returning LSI must present the following documents upon arrival to the City are: (1) A medical clearance and certification issued by the City/Municipal Health Office based on the following conditions:
• That the LSI is neither a contact, suspect, probable or confirmed COVID-19 case;
• that the LSI completed a 14-day quarantine based on the quarantine standards set by the DOH; or
• that the LSI confirmed as a COVID-19 case was tested negative through RT-PCR twice and

(2) Travel Authority issued by the JTF CV Shield (PNP)

The DILG has set up help desks for OFWs and LSIs in the cities and towns.
