A C295 aircraft of the Philippine Air Force brought in additional food supplies, face masks, Ozobarrier units and other medical supplies for Dumaguete City that were unloaded at the airport, Thursday morning.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said that the additional medical and food supplies will be provided to the frontliners, including volunteers, who are working to prevent local transmission of COVID-19.
This is the 5th shipment of supplies courtesy of the Philippine Air Force with the assistance of Philippine Sports Commissioner Ramon Fernandez and his wife Karla Kintanar-Fernandez, a prominent entrepreneur.
Mayor Remollo expresses gratitude to the Fernandez couple for the safe and timely delivery of goods and supplies for the frontliners in Dumaguete.
Further, Mayor Remollo acknowledged the generosity of the Office of Civil Defense Region 7 Director Marlow Salazar, AFP Chief-of-Staff Filemon Santos Jr., Philippine Air Force Commanding Chief Lt. General Allen Paredes Office for authorizing the shipment.
