The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force COVID-19, chaired by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, convened late afternoon yesterday in preparation to the shift from Enhanced Community Quarantine to the General Community Quarantine.

Up to this moment, there has been no confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 case in Dumaguete City.

There are only 29 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) and none of them have shown Influenza Like Infection (ILI).

About 728 PUMS, mainly with history of travel, completed the required 14-day quarantine with no symptoms of Influenza.

Mayor Remollo commended the various agencies that worked 24/7, including volunteer organizations and other frontliners, to prevent COVID-19 transmission in the locality.

Nevertheless, Mayor Remollo reiterate his call for continued vigilance and the continued practice of physical distancing, use of masks and frequent hand washing.

The Task Force will remain on alert to deal and manage any eventuality that may arise in the next two weeks that the Dumaguete City is under GCQ.
