On the last day of the Enhanced Community Quarantine, all personnel in the checkpoints (including numerous volunteers) religiously enforced all anti-COVID-19 protocols that has so far insulated the city from the virus since Day 1.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force COVID-19, expresses his appreciation to the sincere efforts and dedication of the frontliners, who enforced the measures to prevent the transmission of the virus in the city. This despite the entry of thousands of non-residents three times a week to transact and do essential business in the city being the center of trade and commerce in Negros Oriental.

The City Government is grateful to the frontliners in the checkpoints for their zeal even while under the intense heat of the sun and for strictly imposing the anti-COVID protocols.
