Workers from the City Treasurer’s Office and General Services Office set up the chairs, canopies, tables, barriers and markers to be ready for the distribution of the cash assistance to the initial batch of beneficiaries of the Unconditional Cash Transfer under the Social Amelioration Program starting tomorrow.
Councilor Lilani Ramon conducted the ocular inspection with City Treasurer Cristina Merced and General Services Officer Azucena O. Gonzales to comply with the instruction of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo for an orderly and secured distribution of cash assistance in front of the Treasurer’s Office in Burgos Street.
Policemen and other personnel will be deployed to ensure both beneficiaries and the 5 tellers will maintain social distancing.The beneficiaries will be transported by buses from their barangays to the City Treasurer’s Office. No priority number, no release of cash assistance.
Additional batches of beneficiaries already verified by DSWD will be notified and to be announced by their respective barangay officials along with the specific date of the release of cash assistance.
Hence, all SAP target beneficiaries are advised not to go to the barangay hall or City Treasurer’s Office unless they have been formally informed and their names are posted in the barangay.
