CITY REGISTERS ZERO COVID-19 SUSPECTS
Among the 20 remaining Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) by the City Health Office, none of them have shown any symptoms of Influenza Like Illnesses, which is a good sign that measures adopted to prevent local transmission of COVID-19 are working.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also reported to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force COVID-19, that from a high of 400 PUMs in March 24, 2020, there are now just 20 PUMs completing the strict 14-day quarantine by the members of the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT).
Furthermore, 22 of the 30 component barangays of the City have no more PUMs in their jurisdictions.
However, City Government officials led by Mayor Remollo inspected today the 40-bed capacity Community Isolation Center at the City High School Gym that is ready to admit COVID-19 suspects if needed.
Mayor Remollo has appealed for the members of the public to follow the regulations imposed under the Enhanced Community Quarantine and to remain vigilant ultimately for their health and well-being.
