Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo is pleased that the shipment of much needed medical supplies from Manila were completed today despite the delays encountered due to lack of transportation.
“Had it not been for my good friends Karla and Commissioner Mon Fernandez the airlifting of the medical supplies, in two batches, would not have been possible,” Mayor Remollo said.
“I also express my sincere gratitude to Lion Air, especially the late Captain Mario Rosello Medina Jr., his fellow pilots Captain Julius Mendoza and co-pilot Ernesto Lim, Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Felimon Santos Jr., the Philippine Air Force under the command of Lt. Gen.Allen Paredes, Senator Bong Go and Senator Bato Dela Rosa for the successful airlifting of the medical supplies,” Mayor Remollo added.
The Fernandez couple Karla and Commissioner Mon were instrumental so that the planes required for the two trips were available to ferry the 200 boxes filled with PPEs, face masks, alcohol, thermal scanners and supplies needed by the health workers in the front lines against the spread of COVID-19.
Dumaguete City is truly blessed to have friends who truly care about the health and welfare of its citizens.
