Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of Inter-Agency Task Force COVID-19, has issued and enforced several measures to eliminate possible transmission of the dreaded COVID-19:
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo issued Executive Order No. 10 suspending classes in all levels and cancellation of public events and gatherings until further notice
Issued Executive Order No. 11 directing all restaurants, KTV bars, stores and similar establishments to practice social distancing and continuous sanitation or disinfection
Issued Executive Order No. 12 mandating all public transport operators to practice sanitation or disinfection of their establishments and transportation vehicles
Suspended all major sporting events to be hosted by the city
The City Government will purchase 2, 000 bottles of alcohol, 100, 000 surgical masks with ear loops, about 1, 000 Personal Protective Equipment for medical workers, thermal scanners and COVID-19 test kits by using the LDRMMF
Continuous sanitation of public market and government offices in the City Hall compound along with hospitals, malls, churches, parks, Rizal Boulevard, city pier, etc.
Mayor Remollo presided the meeting today with the members of the City Council led by Vice-Mayor Alan Gel Cordova, Task Force COVID 19, department heads of the City Government and other agencies, to update and coordinate the officials so that the measures against COVID-19 will be implemented soonest.
