Sixteen women’s teams from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao have arrived and ready to clash in the 5th Pinay in Action Cup at the Mariano Perdices Coliseum starting tomorrow.

This was confirmed during the press conference held this afternoon at Bethel Guest House with the organizers and officials of the City of Dumaguete.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has invited sports enthusiasts and the general public to watch the matches and cheer for their teams whole day tomorrow until Sunday.

Senator Pia Cayetano will officially open the tournament with Mayor Remollo on Saturday 10:00 AM.

Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario said that Dumaguete City, which was proclaimed as the Sport Tourism Organizer of the year in the country for the second time, will be hosting more sports events in the coming months, aside from PIA Cup, to include CVIRAA and ASEAN Schools Games in November.
