In line with the objective to increase police presence in the Rizal Boulevard, the city government inaugurated the newly constructed police outpost and turned over the facility to the authorities in simple rites, Thursday.

City Tourism Officer Jacqueline V. Antonio and Councilor Michael Bandal, representing Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, handed over the symbolic key to City Chief-of-Police Col. Reyman Tolentin and Major Varrie Villanobos, Head of the Tourist Police, signifying the latter’s assumption of control and utilization of the edifice.

A blessing and dedication ceremony, after the turnover, was conducted by a group of pastors led by James Duran Macahig with Vice-Mayor Alan Gel Cordova and Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario.

The new police outpost will ensure stricter implementation of ordinances and boost security of local and foreign tourists frequenting the Rizal Boulevard.
