In compliance to the instruction of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, 165 recipients of the Special Program for the Employment of Students have now received their remuneration of P 5, 520.00 representing 60% share of the City Government who rendered 20 days of work in the city hall last summer.

City Public Employment Service Office Manager Socorro Mira said that the remaining 40% (P 3, 680.00) of their wage is the counterpartof the Department of Labor and Employment and will be released soon.

Mira said that Mayor Remollo ordered to speed up the release of the wages to the student workers so they could also pay for their tuition fees and other expenses related to the opening of classes.

Mayor Remollo, who increased the daily pay of the summer job, would try to augment the budget next year to accommodate more students.
