Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and representatives of the Philippine Sports Commission led by Ms. Alona Quintos launched this year’s edition of Laro’t Saya sa Parke (Play and Learn Sports) at the Quezon Park.

The program is open to everyone regardless of age who is willing to learn arnis, chess, street soccer, karatedo, taekwondo, badminton, boxing, tai-chi, beach handball, zumba, volleyball, futsal and sepak takraw for free every Saturday afternoon throughout the year. PSC also handed over to Mayor Remollo several equipment to be used in the different sports events.

Mayor Remollo lauded the PSC for partnering with the city government in promoting fun, fitness and health lifestyle for the residents, young and old, in Dumaguete City.

Mayor Remollo added that the entire Quezon park is being rehabilitated to minimize flood, improve security and accommodate not just those who wanted to relax but also to engage in sports.
