All nineteen contingents rated Dumaguete City’s hosting and handling of the 2019 Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet as “Outstanding.”
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo commended all local and national government offices, especially the City Schools Division led by Supt. Evangel Luminarias for their efforts to make this year’s regional meet will be one of the best in the history.

Representatives of the 19 schools divisions to include athletes, coaches, chaperones, officials and committee members were gathered and participated in the survey conducted to determine their honest opinions of the conduct and hosting of CVIRAA 2019.

Results of the survey revealed that the host city was “Outstanding” in adhering to Deped’s policies and guidelines as well as to the attainment of the CVIRAA objectives and goals; playing venues and other facilities; provision of services such as food, medical, transportation, communication and security.

However, there were some concerns on the adequacy of comfort rooms that become somewhat wanting when participants use the facilities simultaneously, which also affects the water supply to go low. It also includes the concern on the need for bigger space for room, wash and dining areas. But, the good news remains that even if the rating for the billeting quarter was below “Outstanding,” the overall result still registered to be “Very Satisfactory.”
