TWG evaluating lowest bidder
A joint venture offered the lowest calculated bid of P 20.2 million for the construction of a bridge at the back of Colon beating two other local firms.
The City Bids and Awards Committee ranked the joint venture Jaime B. Ching and Supreme Mega Builders Inc. with the lowest calculated bid; Uy Condev Corporation with the 2nd lowest bid of P 20, 889, 692. 52 while PhilSouth Builders offered a higher bid of P 20, 894, 695.80.
Nevertheless, it is still too early to award the project to the joint venture since the Technical Working Group will still conduct Post Qualification to determine if the bid is responsive to all the financial and technical requirements and conditions of the project.
Once the joint venture passes the post qualification, it will be declared as the Lowest Calculated Responsive Bid and will eventually be recommended by the BAC for awarding of the project.
But if the joint venture will fail in the post qualification, the next lowest bid in this case, Uy Condev will undergo the same process.
Next to be scheduled for bidding will be the construction of the bridge near the Bureau of Internal Revenue with a budget of P 50 million.
