Former Philippine National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, OIC-Deped Regional Director Salustiano Jimenez and Dumaguete City Schools Division Superintendent Evangel Luminarias led the awarding and closing rites of the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Meet participated by 19 schools divisions at the Lamberto Macias Sports Complex.

Cebu City, Bohol, Lapu-Lapu City and host Dumaguete City are the top 4 teams based on the over-all medal tally after 5 full days of sports action.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo congratulated all the winners and wished all those who did not make it the best of luck in the next edition of games.

Dela Rosa lauded urged all children and youth to make it a habit to engage in sports to avoid falling into vices particularly illegal drugs.
