Hundreds of casual employees of the city government received their Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards from the Philippine Veterans Bank today at the session hall.
This a priority project of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo to ensure the efficient and safe disbursement of wages in contrast to the manual payroll system.
Among the advocates of the ATM system to professionalize the service, who are in attendance during the distribution include Councilors Lilani Ramon and Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, City Administrator Ricardo Gonzales Jr. and Assistant City Administrator and HRMO Dr. Dinno Depositario.
The tamper poof ATM card also serves as a means to check the attendance of the employees. Previously all regular employees and city officials also got their ATM cards.
