Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo joins local dignitaries during the formal opening of the Bayawan Farmers Market in Poblacion 1 (Tinago) yesterday.

All the three Congressman of Negros Oriental are present for the occasion namely Jocelyn Limkaichong (1st District), Manuel Sagarbarria (2nd District) and Arnie Teves (3rd District) to show support to the project initiated by Bayawan City Mayor Pryde Henry Teves with the full concurrence of Mayor Remollo and Poblacion 1 Punong Barangay Harrison Gonzales.

Mayor Remollo said that the project will provide an alternative to residents and visitors in Dumaguete City access to fresh, healthy (chemical free) and affordable fruits, vegetable and other farm products.

This will help ensure food security for the capital city and boost the livelihood of the farmers in the southern part of the province.
