  • The Dumaguete City Police Station currently under Supt. Jonathan Pineda reduced crime volume to 45% from 3, 654 incidents (for the period July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017) to just 1, 645 incidents (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018)
  • Conducted 73 anti-illegal drugs operations from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018; arrested 65 pushers and 44 users; filed 79 cases and seized P 10. 6 million worth of illegal drugs
  • Arrested 83 persons with warrants in 81 operations in the same period
  • Provided the PNP Dumaguete with P 2 million brand new equipment: 6 units of 250cc motorbikes, military type drones, body cameras, bullet proof vests and 30 hand held
  • The Provincial Highway Patrol Team also arrested 49 carnapping suspects in Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental; seized and destroyed 220 modified loud mufflers
  • Intensified implementation of traffic rules by the Traffic Management Office led by Gilbert Ablong: apprehended 16, 334 drivers who were issued citation tickets; 2, 942 vehicles were impounded for the period July 2017 to June 2018
  • Discipline Zone Project penalized nearly 6, 000 drivers and motorists for various offenses in the discipline zone from February to August 2018
  • Awarded to PLDT the P 69.7 million Lease of CCTV system in the next 8 years to include installation of 330 cameras in 30 barangays within 10 months to help solve and prevent crimes, improve traffic management and serve as early warning system during calamity


  • Secured the approval of the Safe Closure and Rehabilitation Plan of the Candau-ay dumpsite with a favorable endorsement from DENR to shoulder P12.5 million representing 80% of the total cost of the plan
  • Purchased a lot in Barangay Candau-ay and began clearing the site for the construction of MRF and sanitary landfill
  • Started the implementation of the ordinance regulating the use of plastic bags among sellers and buyers in the public market and funded the repair of the facilities
  • Adopted zero waste management in three pilot Barangays Piapi, Looc and Bantayan in partnership with NGOs and green groups
