Philippine National Police Regional Office 7 lauds Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo for his unconditional and sustained support to the anti-crime programs and initiatives to preserve the peace in the city, province and Central visayas region.

PRO7 Regional Director Police Chief Supt. Debolo M. Sinas presents to Mayor Remollo the plaque of recognition during the culmination program of the 24th National Crime Prevention Week held this morning at PRO 7 Headquarters Camp Sergio Osmeña. Councilor Alan Gel Cordova, Councilor Joe Kenneth Arbas and DILG Cluster Head Farah Diba Gentuya joined Mayor Remollo in accepting the award. He acknowledged the support of other members of the City Council especially Councilors Lilani Ramon, Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Michael Bandal, Manuel Arbon and SK President Danni Tolentino.

Other top officials who congratulated Mayor Remollo, the lone recipient of the distinction among the Local Chief Executive in Negros Oriental, are Guest of Honor and Speaker of the event Commissioner Rogelio T. Casurao of the National Police Commission, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Sec. Michael Lloyd L. Dino and Executive Judge Rafael Crescencio C. Tan Jr. of RTC Branch 30 Negros Oriental.

The award was given to Mayor Remollo in “grateful appreciation for the invaluable services, support and cooperation extended to the Police Regional Office 7 in the successful campaign against all forms of criminality and in the maintenance of a favorable peace and order atmosphere in Central Visayas.”

Mayor Remollo’s administration has invested more than P 2 million pesos in new equipment to PNP Dumaguete and will soon install 330 CCTV cameras in strategic locations of the city to enhance crime fighting capability of the local police.
