In the next three (3) years, a new convention hotel with shopping mall and other amenities will be completed to serve the needs of the thriving City of Dumaguete.
The project’s architect, Gene Arthur Go, told members of the City Council last month, that the investors considered Dumaguete as “one of the prime destinations in the south of the country.”
And to address the concerns of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Go also bared that the new facility will have 185 elevated parking slots within and outside the hotel. The investors will also provide service road within the whole property and a separate access road so as not to cause further traffic congestion in the national highway. Furthermore, a waste water treatment plant will be installed so that liquid wastes will be processed and filtered before being released to the drainage system. The convention hotel will be located in Barangay Daro fronting the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.
