Incumbent and incoming Punong Barangays along with the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons engaged the city officials led by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo to an earnest discussion on how to solve the problems and concerns of their respective communities, Monday evening.

Mayor Remollo responded to the specific requests of the Punong Barangays and SK Chairpersons with the assistance from City Councilors Alan Gel Cordova, Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Joe Kenneth Arbas, Lilani Ramon, Michael Bandal, Manuel Arbon and Liga ng mga Barangay President Lionel Banogon.

It was also during the gathering that Mayor Remollo presented the letter of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 7 that approved the Closure plan of the Candau-ay dump site with the proposal to establish a Materials Recovery Facility and Sanitary Landfill.

Mayor Remollo urged all barangay and SK officials to support the city’s objective in shutting down the Candau-ay dump site that was ordered closed 11 years ago but will only be made possible today.

To the outgoing Barangay officials, Mayor Remollo thanked them for their service and urged them to remain active as they can serve as elders to the current officials.
