MASS OATH TAKING of the Newly-elected Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons and Kagawads administered by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo at the City Session Hall today.

Mayor Remollo assured the SK officials of his strong support to the success of their respective programs, projects and activities in the 30 barangays especially if they complement the LUPAD vision of his administration.

He explains what the LUPAD mission stands for: Livable and cultured community; Urban revitalization inclusive of all barangays; Professionalism in government service and good governance; Abundance of food, clothing and adequate shelter for every family and Devotion to God and dedication to country and the community.

City Local Government Operations Officer of DILG Aquilina Eltanal stressed the importance of the SK officials’ oath in serving their constituents while Councilor Karissa Tolentino exhorted the youth leaders to resist any sinister attempts even by traditional politicians to entice them to commit graft and corruption.

Mayor Remollo, who launched his first candidacy as mayor of Dumaguete City in 1998 with the strong support of the SK officials, vowed to support the independence of SK against possible pressure or bullying by any government official.

Councilors Lilani Ramon, Michael Bandal and Joe Kenneth Arbas were also present during the ceremony in support to the new and legitimate representation of the youth in the local government.
