Former Clark Development Corporation now Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Clark Development Corporation President Noel F. Manankil are in talks to jointly lobby for the top two airlines Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines to operate a new Dumaguete-Clark route that is expected to increase trade and tourism activities between the city and CDC.

Both airlines are reportedly inclined to open the new route.

Mayor Remollo also accompanied the principals from Dumaguete City led by Schools Division Superintendent Evangel Luminarias in a two-day tour at Clark that culminated in a courtesy call to CDC President Manankil, yesterday.

Clark used to be an air base of the United States military but was abandoned prior to the eruption of Mount Pinatubo.

Today Clark has over 949 foreign and local locators including multinational companies, hotels, golf courses, theme parks and duty free shops that employ about 108, 000 locals not only from the host province of Pampanga but Central Luzon.

The New Clark City is envisioned to be safe, smart and green city of the future that will be home to 800,000 residents and 2 million workers in the next 30 to 60 years.
