Mayor Ipe Remollo leads negotiations to convince lot owners to vacate their properties that will be affected by the concreting of the approaches to the Candau-ay-Cadawinoan bridge.

DPWH asked for Mayor Remollo’s intervention after some recalcitrant lot and home owners refused to vacate their properties resulting in the delay of the completion of the bridge that is a vital link of the diversion road.

Said diversion road will serve as the alternate route for buses, jeeps and trucks, which will reduce traffic congestion in the downtown area.

Mayor Remollo has decided to directly talked to the property owners to break the deadlock after attempts by the contractor, DPWH and previous administration appeared to have failed to clear the site of obstruction so that construction of the long delayed bridge will be completed at the soonest.
