350 CCTVs Installed next year!

About five (5) interested companies joined the pre-bid conference for the CCTVs last week presided by City’s Bids and Awards Committee Chairman Atty. Doram Dumalagan to discuss requirements so they could join the bidding.

The eventual winning bidder must provide the city the long awaited 350 sets of CCTVs that will be in 24-hour operation. Mayor Felipe Antonio “Ipe” Remollo said that the CCTVs will be used to combat crimes, help manage traffic situation and serve as a warning system during calamity/emergency. The CCTVs (like the sample in the photo) will be mounted in all 30 barangays especially in densely populated sections and crime prone areas upon the recommendation of the barangay officials and Dumaguete City Police Station.
