Repair of the spillway linking Barangays Taclobo and Junob continues as a temporary measure to make it passable. This is being done while Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo lobbies for funds to build sturdy, elaborate and multi-million bridges to replace the other spillways and overflows as part of the long term solution to flooding and to ensure the safety of all passing motorists and residents.

Mayor Remollo noted that for several years the same problem of floodwater inundating the spillways and residences along the river banks remain unresolved unless a more permanent solution of building bridges will be realized.

But because of the high costs required for their construction, there is a need to seek assistance from the national and provincial governments. It would also be better if the 2nd congressional office can also follow up and help lobby for funds from the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH.

Mayor Remollo is also negotiating with lot owners to donate portions of their properties for the widening project of the Taclobo-BIR road.
